Cary Endocrine & Diabetes Center is expanding its patient-care mission through a clinical research partnership with Eximia Research. The program brings research opportunities to people throughout Cary and the greater Raleigh-Durham community who are living with diabetes, obesity, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, and other hormonal or metabolic conditions. Because these conditions often overlap, specialized endocrine care provides an important foundation for research that considers more than one aspect of a patient’s health.

Specialized Endocrinology Leadership

Sung-Eun Yoo, MD, is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism; Obesity Medicine; and Internal Medicine. Her expertise spans diabetes, weight management, thyroid disease, metabolic disorders, osteoporosis, and bone health.

Dr. Yoo previously served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology at the University of North Carolina, bringing both clinical and academic experience to the research program program.
