Join a (MASH/NASH) Fatty Liver Disease Research Study

This study is researching potential new treatments for fatty liver disease, also known as metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). This condition occurs when fat builds up in the liver and may lead to inflammation and liver damage over time. It is often linked to conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, or weight-related health concerns.

Researchers are evaluating two investigational treatments, both individually and in combination, to see how they may help improve liver health. These treatments are designed to target how the body processes fat and inflammation.

Participants in this study will receive an active study treatment. There is no placebo group, and researchers will compare how different treatment approaches work.

The goal of this study is to determine whether these treatments are safe and effective in improving liver health and reducing the impact of fatty liver disease.

Who Can Join

Who Can Join

  • Age 18 or older
  • Has fatty liver disease (specifically Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis), which a doctor will confirm with tests like a biopsy or FibroScan
  • Generally stable (good kidney function, some blood tests like liver enzymes are only slightly high)
  • BMI is between 25 and 50

Who Cannot Join
You cannot join if you have any of the following:

  • Other liver diseases, such as:
    • Cirrhosis, liver failure, liver cancer, hepatitis, or a liver transplant
  • Heart or blood issues, such as:
    • High blood pressure, too high a dose of cholesterol medication (statins), uncontrolled arrhythmia, stroke, heart attack, severe heart failure, or heart surgery in the last 6 months
  • Diabetes:
    • Type 1 diabetes or severe type 2 diabetes
  • Other serious illnesses, such as:
    • Autoimmune disease, severe mental illness, or an unstable thyroid/adrenal gland problem
